I just got a note from someone telling me that the scroll in the Smithsonian box is full.  I'm going to send another one out, but it likely won't be in place for a week or so.  If you're planning on visiting this box, be aware that there is no room for stamping in.  I'll post to list when the new scroll is in place.

The Smithsonian box is back in commission with a second signature scroll.  Thank you Celtic Pride for your kind assistance.

I have left a couple messages with my Smithsonian contact, and have not received a reply yet... so I can only surmise that she has perhaps chosen a good week to take a vacation in a sunny location.  Today's report seems to confirm  that the box is indeed gone.

This is really disheartening.  I know that boxes disappear, but to swipe this one is low indeed.  I'll try to refrain from jumping to conclusions until I can get official confirmation.   Perhaps the circus activities around the lobby (reported by  people on and off  list) caused the museum to take up the box.  There may yet be a good explanation for this.

Bummer, heavy sigh! This was one of the main reasons Amy and I
had planned the trip. We really wanted this box, oh well, but on the
up side there are lots of other boxes and lots of good sites to see.
So the trip will still be great. Hey any time to get away from work,
has tobe a great time, we both need it.

Patrick, (Miss Amy is at work.)

When I read of the folks last week who hung around endlessly and then proceeded to asked the guard about
the water fountain, I had the feeling the letterbox would soon be toast. Sublety and disgression are keywords
in this game... Funhog

Funhog, you missed your calling. You would have made a very
entertaining cheerleader...

Ok Mr. Smarty Pants - don't pick on the hog just because she
mispelled something. People do it all the time and it is not nice to
do that. The Dawg
